At Hypnobabies Network, we are a group of caring professionals providing education, support and excellent natural products to expectant families before, during and after childbirth. We are not here to compel others that what is commonly called "hypnobirthing" is the way to go; Hypnobabies is so much more! It is our goal that all women learn about their birthing choices, become empowered to take responsibility for their own pregnancies, births and babies, and truly enjoy the amazing beauty of childbirth. We consistently maintain updated resources for pregnancy, natural childbirth, breastfeeding, midwifery, attachment parenting and natural living as a gift to all who visit our site, encouraging an innate bond between the external world and our all-knowing spontaneous inner selves.

I was a Bradley Method natural childbirth instructor for 10 years and received an invaluable education in natural childbirth before enrolling in the HypnoBirthing teacher certification course. After taking it and teaching a few HB classes, I soon realized that I needed to know much more about hypnosis in order to be able to help each woman with her personal issues and also her hypnotic depth. I then took a course in hypnosis and hypnotherapy and began writing my own scripts. I found and networked with hypnotherapists all over the USA, and even in the UK, who openly shared concepts, ideas, scripts and tips on how to improve my childbirth hypnosis course. My students definitely benefited from this and soon were having very nice births.
I then went on and became a certified Hypnotherapist, found Gerald Kein's Painless Childbirth Program and became trained in that. I created the Hypnobabies method using these incredible hypnosis techniques and that is what I teach now in my local classes and home study course. Many of my moms have pain-free and fear-free births and it is very gratifying to me. Even the ones who do experience discomfort at times have wonderful birthing experiences, since the labors are shorter and much easier, and the find they can get back on track quickly with this program.
I have 2 children, and neither of them were Hypnobabies, however their births taught me a great deal about what I wanted for my students. I knew there had to be a way that women could actually look forward to, and enjoy their baby's births. Indeed I have found it and it has made all the difference in the world to so many women, their Birth Partners, and their precious babies.
I love what I do, and I eat, drink and breathe my passion for helping more women have pain-free and easy birth experiences. All babies deserve to be born into the world in this gentle way; unmedicated, gently and happy!

Janet Field began her childbirth career in 1981 in Boston when she attended her first birth and fell in love with the extraordinary experience of bringing life into the world. In 1994 in Albuquerque she was trained by Pam England ("Birthing From Within") as a Homebirth Midwife and Certified Doula. Janet has a B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Music from Wheelock College in Boston.
In addition to her extensive childbirth experience, she is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. Janet is a graduate of the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Santa Fe, providing one of the most comprehensive state-certified Hypnotherapy programs available in the country. One of the first three certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructors in the country, Janet now sits on the Hypnobabies Advisory Board and is the Hypnobabies Home Study Supervisor worldwide.
She has a very positive relationship with the doctors, midwives, nurses and extended birthing community in New Mexico. She is trusted, respected, and sought out for her Hypnobabies trainings and her Doula services. Janet began the Presbyterian Hospital Doula Program in 2002 and currently teaches and certifies Hypno-Doulas.
With 33 years of teaching experience and over 60 births attended, Janet brings a special depth of knowledge and experience to her students. Janet's warm, calm, gentle confidence and intuitive understanding inspire a trust that facilitates her students and clients in reaching their goals easily and quickly. Janet's teaching style is relaxed, humorous and knowledgeable, emphasizing an involvement with and respect for each of her students. And she has practiced what she has taught, very successfully using Hypnobabies hypnosis tools during two significant, yet remarkably easy, surgeries, remaining awake, alert, and comfortable - and impressing the hospital staff with the power of hypnosis!

Hypno-Mom Susan McClutchey has been working with women online who are interested in learning self-hypnosis for birth since 2001, when she began preparing for the birth of her first child. Her own wonderful birth experiences (and the prompting of her equally enthusiastic husband) inspired her to become a Hypnobabies instructor in 2004. Since then, she has dedicated herself to spreading the word to women everywhere that they too can have a safe, comfortable, enjoyable birth using Hypnobabies. In the process, she has had the honor of interacting with thousands of wonderful women around the world, and seeing her advice and birth stories published in both books and magazines. In her spare time, she works as a chemical engineer specializing in pollution control, but mostly enjoys focusing her time and attention on her wonderful family.

My name is Sheridan Ripley. I have always loved all things pregnancy, birth and babies. (I used to ditch high-school, go to the library and read pregnancy books) I am a DONA trained doula (labor assistant) and I am excited to be a Hypnobabies Instructor. I am thrilled to have found something to help me share my passion for childbirth with others!
I know hypnosis can benefit women during their pregnancy and their birth... as well as after, from personal experience and from hearing others experiences too. I am a mom to 3 boys! Devon, my first was a preemie, born by an emergency c-section. Carson was a VBAC using a different hypnosis method and Bryson was a VBAC using Hypnobabies. I know first hand that it is possible to have a pain free un-medicated birth using Hypnobabies. With the right tools, information and practice anyone can benefit from hypnosis for childbirth! I love to teach Hypnobabies to expectant moms and watch them empower themselves with the information and tools they learn.

My name is Laura Lund. I live in Provo, Utah with my husband and four children. I became interested in natural childbirth during the pregnancy of my second child. My first baby's birth in May 2000 was medicated (IV narcotics and an epidural) and it took place in a hospital attended by a doctor. With my second baby, I knew I wanted something different so I began researching natural childbirth. It turned out to be an addictive pastime for me. I learned hypnosis for childbirth (thank you, Hypnobabies!) and my second baby was born at home in the water after a 5 hour painless labor in April 2002. After her birth I became intensely interested in helping other women experience natural childbirth. I became a doula and started teaching natural childbirth classes in 2003.
In 2006 I certified to teach Hypnobabies. I love hypnosis for childbirth. I know it works. That's why I teach it. I love working with pregnant and birthing women and love helping to make birth the peaceful, enjoyable experience it should be for parents and their babies.
